This week in the news…

Treasurer charged with embezzlement from Annapolis campaign committee

“The charges also accuse Gilbreath of failing to file or amend four campaign finance reports for the committee, which supports unified campaigning for a slate of Democratic candidates in District 30, according to its chairman, Michael Miller. District 30 encompasses Annapolis and parts of eastern and southern Anne Arundel County.”

Md. redistricting fight may be over, but some still scrambling over new maps

“By law, a candidate is required to live in the district he or she is representing. A 1998 ruling, frequently referred to as the Blount decision, has complicated that by allowing some candidates to maintain an address that is outside their district.”

Supreme Court set to overturn Roe v. Wade, leaked draft opinion shows: report

“The Supreme Court is poised to strike down Roe v. Wade, according to an unprecedented leak of a draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito.

The draft leak obtained by Politico was written in early February. It was not immediately clear if it has been rewritten or revised. The Court has declined to verify or disavow the document. Analysts have suggested the leak may represent an attempt to pressure a Supreme Court justice to change his or her vote on the pivotal case.”

Our Party is funded by grassroots donors and organizers, without folks like you, we would not succeed as a party. If you have a few dollars to spare, chipping in now will help the Republican Party win our State and our Nation back in 2022.
